Review: TheFaceShop Real Nature Kiwi Jelly Mask Pack

Sunday 28 June 2015
Salam and annyeong my lovelies! The weather has started to be really hot right now as we're approaching Summer season. Though Malaysia is a tropical country where it's sunny all year around but believe me, from May till July, it's hotter than any other months hence more rain in the evening. Well, though it's hot, I love rainy season. hehe

Anyway, let's get onto the review! Today I'll be reviewing this wash-off mask from TheFaceShop - a favourite brand of mine of all time, Real Nature Kiwi Jelly Mask Pack.

I've actually tried its sister product in apple (exfoliating) and strawberry (moisturizing and soothing) and finally among the three variants, I have found my favourite, Wanna know more? Keep on reading!

Product Description:
Kiwi are known for their high and rich vitamin C content and it supplies the skin with moisture. Cooling and soothing effects.

How to use:
After cleansing and toning, apply to the entire face while avoiding the areas around the eyes and lips.
After 5 to 10 minutes, wash the face thoroughly with warm water.

Net capacity: 110ml

Packaging:

Like the sister product, this mask pack too comes in a transparent medium sized tub with a black lid. The Korean Hangul there wrote Clarity! Brightening - as the Kiwi known for its brightening effect.

I actually bought this last year but as I had to finish up the other two variants before, I only opened this like last month I think. Still good until June next year.

There's directions and ingredients list printed inside the label. Lots of fruit extracts and there's also fragrance. Might want to consider if you don't want to use products with fragrance. For me, no biggie. Be careful not to let the jelly into your eyes.

Unfortunately, the product descriptions are in Hangul but I can tell you guys that there's 5500mg of Kiwi extracts contained in the jelly mask.

There's also the inner lid to avoid contamination and spilling. But honestly, I only used the lid while on travelling and put it somewhere else if it's placed in the fridge.

Texture and scent:

As you can see, the mask is in jelly form with that black seeds from the Kiwi I believe. The jelly is so smooth when applied on skin. The scent is quite strong but within few minutes, it'll fade away.

Verdict:

As you probably know, I share most stuffs with mum. Mum actually brought the whole tub on a fishing trip and though it's unfortunate that she forgot to pack her sunscreen, this mask has totally helped calming down the sunburn.

As for me, I really love that this mask have that cooling and soothing effect apart from brightening up my skin instantly. Aloe vera does the cooling and soothing for me as well, but somehow I can feel the sensation is longer with this one especially after I put this in the fridge for a night and used it the next day.

Secondly, I used this prior makeup, and I can see how my dry patches disappear (my skin condition changes especially it's just really hot right now) which means that this mask moisturizes my skin well and hence my makeup adheres better and last longer.

Final verdict: 4/5. I really like this mask! From the texture to how it works on my skin, it's the best among among its sister products. Retailed at RM39.90 but I'm so glad I grabbed two during the Buy 1 Free 1 sale. I've been to to store recently and saw that these masks are still available but the Real Mask has been revamped and there are 3 new variants (with new packaging) have been introduced: Almond, Honey and Clay masks which I'm quite interested to try next. haha you know I love wash-off masks.

I think that's about it! By the way, do you know similar masks that I can try? Let me know!

Until next post, annyeong!
